English in Malta Julian's
Thinking of learning English and enjoying a Mediterranean climate? Look no further than the very South of Europe!
The Island of Malta is situated between Sicily and the coast of North Africa. The sun shines the whole year round on its North African like landscape.
English is Malta's first official and cultural language which is a legacy left behind by the British, who occupied the island for its strategic geographical position well into the 1960s. |

|
 |
The judicial and educational systems have remained in place and are still very British and on Malta you do of course drive on the left hand side.
Today Malta is one of the most Catholic countries in the world; nowhere else are there so many religious holidays or so many churches per square mile.
The Phoenicians, Romans, French and British have all come and gone.
Its diverse culture has played a greater role in history than on most other islands. |
|
The Maltese mentality is Mediterranean, a warm blend of Italian, Spanish and British.
Indeed the Maltese language schools are greatly respected throughout Europe.
Our school is simply breathtaking, it is of unique architectural interest and was built at the beginning of the century.
This striking, aesthetically pleasing stone building with its classical Greek like elements and Roman arcades will not fail to impress you. |
