Italian in Rome All roads lead to Rome, the eternal city! Today’s Rome is a contemporary metropolis of world fame which still reflects the various epochs of its long and colourful history in its architecture, culture and people.
The city’s large historical centre can be divided into many different architectural areas from Ancient Rome to Medieval times, from Renaissance to Baroque, Art Nouveau, Neoclassicism, and Modernism to Rationalism.
The city is often considered a living encyclopaedia covering the last 3000 years of Western art. |

Make also sure to experience Rome for which it is famous: wonderful sunshine and fountains in small, hidden squares and the warm evening strolls through a city overflowing with areas and sights to suit every taste.
Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, Trinità dei Monti, Trastevere and the Pantheon are all incredibly wonderful places.
Here Romans of all ages share their time enjoying a glass of Italian wine and the typical Italian ice-cream!
Visitors often return with a tear in their eyes! |

If you prefer beach life you will find wonderful beaches close to the city:
- Circeo,
- Sabaudia,
- Sperlonga,
- Argentario and Ponza are a great way to get away for the weekend.
Naturally our colleagues in the school will do their utmost to help you to organize such trips, whether you want to explore new and different areas of the city or discover Rome’s surrounding region. |

| As the saying goes ‘when in Rome, do as the Romans do’. Do exactly this by overloading your senses with the glut of pleasures that the city has to offer; from the grandiose thrill of feeling centuries of turbulent history under your feet to seeing darkness descend over the city’s frenetic pace. The twilight seems to slow down the hectic city when the marble-white buildings and statues are beautifully lit up. |
